We wanted to let you know of our latest experience at L. Georges in Canton.
Our visit occurred on October 10, 2011 beginning about 7:20 PM. There were three of us. This was not our first visit. We love L. George’s quality food and enjoy the menu choices offered. In the past we have experienced very quick service from being greeted right down to how quickly the food comes out hot from the kitchen. On the evening of 10/10/11 not only were we never even acknowledged but I am not sure if anyone even noticed that we got up and left having never even been brought a glass of water. There were at least two other groups who sat down and were served beverages and orders taken that came in after us. One of the groups was two women and a child who were seated across the aisle and just a couple booths up from our table over against the partitioned wall with windows. They were greeted, served beverages and orders taken. Then TWO waitresses proceeded to chit chat at length with them and never during that time glanced our way or realized that a group of three were sitting at our table. At the front behind the counter area many of the waitresses gathered together occasionally and came and went to other tables around the restaurant. From the time my husband sat down until we left he was able to watch the entire 8th inning of the Tigers playoff game in Texas showing on the TV nearby; still no greeting -nothing. We finally got up and left and went down the street to Bob Evans where we were greeted immediately and served our beverages in less time than we sat at our table at L. Georges. We honestly like the food best at L. Georges but after our Oct. 10 visit we are wondering whether or not we should return. I suppose after so many visits where we DID receive good friendly service and food that we were stunned that with so many waitresses there that evening that we could have been ignored for so long. What happened?? We did not see a manager that we recognized as a manager that was observing how things were going in the dining area. We noticed too that many of the waitresses but not all were new. We would request that you evaluate the performance of the staff and management that worked that evening. It certainly was not the type of service that we had experienced before.
I’ve been eating there for years. But today, my food was burnt and the owners are always rude when you pick your food up!!!
I like the service and food is great. Why is it your hours are not on the website???

Have been to the Canton L. George's many times. We actually decided to stop there the first time because the parking lot is always full so we were curious. Plus they are expanding the lot now so more places to park. Great Place to Eat. Quick friendly service and great food. Prices are great also. I don't know what happened with Jenny S. situation but obviously she did not have a waitress and obviously no one knew. Mistakes can happen. She should have gone up to the register and let them know...believe me...they would have straightened things out quickly. I like that they have one huge table where a big group can all sit down. We've used that for family get togethers and it's great and everyone had a great time. Love this place. We go there often. If you've never stopped there...do it soon....you'll be glad you did and you'll return often...like we do. :)

Had been eating at this restaurant since its opening. Food is great. The coffee I was served in 2012 smelled and taste aweful. It smelled like perfume as if she(the waitress)had pessed in it. I have not been back since.
Good Food, Good Prices, Bad Attitude :-(
I sat at the counter where the manager happened to be waiting on people. I asked for Heinz 57 Steak Sauce for my pork chops. She said they don't have Heinz 57. I told her Heinz 57 was my favorite steak sauce. She said, "It's too expensive". Then, she didn't even offer an alternative like A1 sauce; I had to ask for it.
For the large bottles, there is less than $1 difference in price between A1 and H57. I guess she doesn't think I’m worth a buck. At that moment I did not feel like a valued customer. I don't even know why I left a tip.
I have not found one of their competitors that does not have Heinz 57 Sauce. But in the process I did find a lot of friendlier places to eat.
I no longer dine at L Georges :-)
Our vist was today Oct. 20th and the whitres was great but we had hair in our food 3 Tim's an tha was not cool we will not be coming back ever
I went there on 1-11-14 at 1;00 pm and it was really bad. People that came in after us got served before us. I wanted fish diner and after waiting 30 min. I got the fish and it was under cooked and the fries were cold. The manager was no help as she said it takes 15 min. to deep fry fish. If I go back I will never order fish. I makes me look bad as I have been telling everybody how good this place was and know I have to go back and tell people to go somewhere else.
I came to your restaurant on Sunday May 18th 2 pm first I was taking to a dirty table then told go sit in the middle booth instead first impression not good. My serve comes ask for drink order puts silverware on the table my silverware was dirty we order 2 sandwiches 1 omelet it takes over 15 minutes for the food then she forget my complete order I asked for butter for my grits she never came back just brought the bill I went to pay and told the cashier about my service the server comes over and began to yell at me I paid grab my kids and left I spent 30.00 for the worst experience we won't be coming back.
Do not go on a Friday evening. Food would have been good as usual had I not been seated under a air vent blowing cold air on us and our food. It's January 2nd, it's cold outside. Should be warm and comfortable inside. By the time I was halfway finished with my Coney and fries, the food had a hard greasy coating over it. The place was mostly empty so no need to seat us there. Piss poor service today. I stopped in for a quick sandwich and waited a long time before I just got up and left. I sat down at the counter thinking it would be simpler 8get served. My waitress brought coffee and that was it. I waited and waited while she held a personal conversation with someone at the other end. I finally got fed up and left. This was a favorite spot but I may have to rethink that in the future.
We have dined at your restaurant numerous times (once every other week or so for three years) and the food has always been excellent.! We had one bad experience with service about a year ago, but statistically it's insignificant considering the number of times we have been there. Your wait staff is always courteous, helpful, and fast! I see the number of negative comments posted on this site and thought I would just let everyone know that we have had a positive experience over and over and over! We will definitely be back soon!
Walled lake l georges - Food and service was great except they only hire people to cover for the current employees that want a vacation. I know of two people who were hired during current employees vacations and then mysteriously they were let go without any explanation. They were taken off the schedule and never rescheduled. What a nice close knit work evironment. Whatever happened to equal opportunity employment.
We are from out of town and was ready for some breakfast food. We knew that we were taking our chances getting a seat at prime time 11am, but just us 2 we were hoping we had luck. Fortunately, we were told at the door only a 10 minute wait for 2. That was great, better yet the bar had 2 open seats, so we took them. The food was fabulous and arrived fast. All of the staff was busy and seemed to work well with each other, all doing their part. I was intrigued with the uniforms and how almost all the workers had a different colored L.Georges Coney shirt on. I was also surprised to see that not one worker had a name tag on. We got great food for a great price. We would definitely stop in again!
I have never had a bad experience at the Canton location. Food is great, portions are generous the price is more than fair.
This is a high volume restaurant. There are bound to be some minor problems. For those of you who can't get noticed, a polite "EXCUSE ME" to a waitress as she trots past your table may be necessary. The wait staff is always busy and under pressure. There are some dedicated customers who have become familiar with the wait staff and a quick conversation may ensue but friendly service is another quality of this quality restaurant.
This place is fantastic. For the price and who I guarantee you will love it. And the staff is fantastic as well very courteous and friendly. Believe it or not I'm hoping to go today for the corn beef or fish dinner. I personally guarantee you will go back again and again. Enjoy

EXCELLENT Food!! Really Decent Service. I just got two cheeseburgers last night with everything and an order of fries. Very tasty. If ONLY they would clean up the rather ample parking lot of loitering mean young skinny yellow bums, I'd give the place an A+. If you like great food served fast, Yet Don't want to deal with mean young, and wheeled-chared bums' uncles inside and outside, then Avoid this dangerous hell hole.
I WAS THERE ON SUNDAY 2-19-17 WE WERE SEATED BY KIM WHO IS ALWAYS PLEASANT BUT THAT IS WHERE THE GOOD PART ENDED AFTER SITTING FOR ALMOST 15 MINUTES THE WAITRESS DIANE PUT WATER ON THE TABLE AND LEFT I MONITORED 6 OTHER TABLES SEATED AFTER US WHO HAD ALREADY GOTTEN THEIR FOOD AND STILL HAD NOT PLACES AN ORDER . FINALLY AFTER ANOTHER 10 MINUTES THE ORDER WAS TAKEN WE WAITED 10 MORE MINUTES FOR OUR DRINKS AND AFTER ANOTHER 15 MINUTES WE GOT OUT FOOD IT HAS NOW BEEN 35 MINUTES SINCE WE WERE SEATED THE FOOD WAS COLD AND WHEN I SAID SOMETHING TO THE WAITRESS HER RESPONSE WAS I HAD 5 OTHER TABLE AND YOU'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT . I WONT DEAL WITH IT AGAIN I WONT BE BACK AND WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA KNOWS OF THE POOR SERVICE I RECEIVED WHICH IS SAD AFTER BEING A REGULAR CUSTOMER THERE FOR A LONG TIME AM ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED ENOUGH TO SAY I WONT BE BACK

Dear Sirs, I'm a original Detroiter relocated to Fort Worth TX. My day and I cherish the times we spent together dinning at the many fine L. George establishments throughout the city, with our favorite being in Canton. We've been here 5 years and even though their are many restaurants here we know and believe that you would thrive here in Texas with the many menu items you specialize in! A little food for thought I sincerely hope, miss you guys👍
